C-Nice grew up in Long Beach, dribbling a ball; he was focused on anything that had to do with basketball. Playing sports was a way of life up until high school when he attended Jordan High. Smith performed on stage and fell in love with the energy. That's where his vision shifted; he dreamed of doing music full-time.
