Sekou Mama Ayo Handy-Kendi, Founder and Director of the African American Holiday Association, discusses Black Love Day, a holiday celebrated on February 13th to specifically highlight black love. The day also celebrates self-love and healing as highlighted in an accompanying documentary, “Love and Action: The Five Tenets of Black Love Day”, directed by Zoë Poindexter.
